One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The light was great and it is surprising what the HDR function in my mobile can do...

I really love flying my TalonUL. It is like a hot knife moving through butter.  Huh

I recognise that photo - kind of regret selling that Talon UL. Superb colour combo. Hope you are still enjoying it  Smiley

Only just got it and am very impressed so far. It is a great photo, the back lighting is stunning through the kite.

+1 for Talon UL

But it does need a bit more wind

On low wind days, I usually have this out

This was the maiden flight of my TalonUL

I had just received it as my birthday present.  Cool

Not the best day to fly in but was a great experience!  Grin

If Im not mistaken that is a new kite made by a new kid on the block" NASCENT Kites" based in Leeds, UK.

ACARA KITE 002 by hawkerhunter, on Flickr

Its modified from the plans of an Acara UL designed brilliantly by Ian Newham. It has p200 lower spreaders, P100 leading edges, sewn in leech line and fully covered leading edges and standoff fittings.
I cannot disclose the name of the builder at this moment in time and will leave it for him to do that when appropriate. What I can tell you is the kite is beutifully made with an attention to detail that is second to none. This kite maker, if he continues on this path , will be a major contribution to this sport and I for one have got my order in for his first signature standard kite. So watch this space and remember Nascent Kites.

Meaning of Nascent.....Emerging, just coming into existance
