One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I just bought this from REI and it seemed like a good buy with all the diff things it can do.

I've been trying to get it enough sun to charge the battery up to full but every time i put it in a backpack or put it down somewhere, the radio dial switch gets turned on an i lose the juice and mu radio presets. .
Anybody else got on of these?
Oh yeah dont put this under a hot lamp cause the plastic covering the solar panel will shrink.

I keep one of their slightly older models in my emergency survival kit.  I love the model I have, and I use it often to listen to NOAH weather radio stations during bad weather here in the Pacific N.W. as well as using it for a regular radio.  I use a couple of larger Rubbermaid totes to hold food, water, light, and other items I may need along with a large first aid kit just in case.  Even my 5 year old daughter is all set as well.  She even has her own 3 person tent, back pack, sleeping bag, water bottle, and a small tent just the right size to take her Barbie's camping with...LOL  Before having my daughter I never really worried about having to survive anything, but having a young child sort of changed my attitude about surviving something, so I put together a 2 week package if needed.
