One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hi all,

I have lost the spreaders of my (beautiful !) Laima.  Sad

Could you please tell me the right lengths and diameter of the two spars?

Many thanks in advance for your help.  Wink

The main spreaders are 0.105" (2.7mm) in diameter, each with a length of 26.25" (66.7 cm) from one end to the other end with the end cap.  The inner spreaders that go into a small APA type fitting on the main spreaders are 0.085" (2.1 mm) in diameter, each with a length of 9.875" (25 cm) from one end to the other end with the end cap.  The side with the end cap goes into the small APA type fitting on the main spreaders.

Please note the measurements are to the outside of the end caps.  You could place an end cap on the rod and then make the final cut, or subtract the thickness of the end cap.
