One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Weather has been cold for about two weeks and windy.  Finally a couple days ago wind died down and I got out.  I flew like Cr%^&$*p.  Wanted to break my kites.  Alone on the Beach and lousy flying.  Spent the night  depressed.  I started out with Ocius ul and immediately jumped to Std.  Just a bad day.  :'(   The next day was GREAT ...  Kinda like having a bad Golf game.  No driver,No putter,No short game...
But the next day I shoot under par. Grin

The wind was perfect for a Ul.  Took out my Widow Maker Ul and started to make up for the day before.   Cool

I have been trying to get my 540's as close to right-left as possible.  Not sure even if I am doing it properly.  But looks like it .. Huh Huh

Saw Ara's post so I thought I'd let me know what Mike told me when I id my first 540... " you have to learn the other side...".

I never thought I'd be able to do both sides.  I broke my butt learning the 540's from the video.  Too much movement it can be done with less physical effort.  Boy did I learn that the hard way... the week I learned the trick it was 90 degree's.  But I enjoy heat.. ) got a Sauna in the basement at home).

I was doing some very nice slides the other day as well as wing tip take off's and landings.  Didn't even break anything.  Winter is coming quickly and I intend on flying in the snow.... ( Thinking about southern California about now...) Got to move one day...  Wink

A whole bunch of 540's as well as Power 540's...  Enjoy !!!

540's plus

Wow! That's an intensive 540 session!  Shocked
I'm so envious   Angry
in a healthy way though  Tongue

But you only let us see the pilot for a few seconds! That's not fair. We can hear the pilot, but it is really useful for us newbies to see other pilots.
So next time you go out flying you get in the picture, OK?   Wink

In my bag...

I've posted some clips of what I do.. I try and copy "Martin" in his videos... I spent last summer learning the 540 left then   Huh right.  This video was the first time I was able to do continuous LR's so many times.  A 540 needs to rotate the amount of degrees and launch upwards.  That's the tricky part for me.  Turning around quickly and going the opposite way.  Although I think there is a better way of doing it. LtoR.  I was practicing the other day and I try to video always so I can study the video....saw your post I want to encourage YOU.  They are easier as you progress.  I'll try and post some Pilot shots...
