Is everyone on the East Coast O.K.?

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

10 miles east of Providence, not much noticeable damage, mostly leaves and branches, no loss of power, just lots of high winds and rain.  local postal delivery guy wanted to know if I had been flying.......

You can go 10 miles east of Providence without leaving Rhode Island ? 
You guys up that way missed it this time, but I know you've gotten smacked other times when we get just a little rainstorm... (Hurricane Bob ?)

Sorry, I meant west of Providence.   As to hurricanes, yeah we've caught it a couple times.  I recall 1954, standing outside in the eye as it passed over.  I've argued the pro's and con's of hurricanes versus tornadoes.  Guess it boils down to where you grew up and what you're used to.  Also used to think that the monsoons in SEA were kind of like hurricanes, just shorter in duration..  if there is any positive aspect to this storm, it is the simple fact that the winds blew almost all my neighbors oak leaves back in his yard..................
