Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

34 Entries!  I think this even tops VF11 when a Talon was on the line.

It even beats VF-10's 29 entries when a Blue Moon Muse was on the line.

Holy cow !   Huh

34 entries means a ZIP file of...... 437Mb !!! Without Thomas' very kind assistance I'd be struggling to find a place for all this.

A webpage with links to the individual videos is up already and I'll have a score sheet off to all the entrants Real Soon Now™.

A record entry that I think reflects the generosity of the main prize donors, Tim Benson and Carl Robertshaw, although who can truly resist a VF mug ?   Wink

Entries per round can be seen here. The big rounds have been 7, 12, 11, 10 and now 13 with 20, 23, 24, 29 and 34 entrants respectively.

Perhaps we can try to get sponsorship from Red Bull as the entrants still need to watch and score all but their own to get into the prize draws.

you know i was thinking something slightly less frequent might yield greater enthusiasm for entry as each VF would be cherished more by participants and onlookers alike, but with a record entry list, i'm happy to be proven wrong. congratulations sir, well done. i'm looking forward to watching all the videos.

I think that there is an optimum rhythm to be found, balancing interest and burn out, but I suspect that VF can sustain 3~4 rounds per year with more during the summer months without problem.

Make no mistake though, I put the credit for the high number of entries squarely on the shoulders of the prize donors.

Mike,

Your statistical skills and amazing ways of slicing the same pie so differently are as beautiful to watch as the videos.  Grin

More slicery 'n' dicery here. No need to cross-post so just a link.

Eric has been in touch and already has a plan for his Deep Space UL. A pretty good reward for his first attempt at Virtual Freestyle, agreed ?
