One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

If you take this challenge he will beat and whip you till you do it right... No slacking or lay off's.  These clips are from Labor Day Sunday.. 25 attempts.  I can't show the complete one's cause they aren't four in a row.  And he's too good for cut and paste.  I've tried.  These are done without extending my arms... you'd think I'd learn by now... But look at the lousy 540's...  I will get better...

Good tries! Nice video and GREAT music!
This only comes to show me how darn difficult the challence is...  Sad

Rollin', rollin', rollin'...  Huh

 +1 on the Wow Norm,

I really like the thinner straps, they all look great but I think I'll be trying to win the thinner straps!   Undecided
If the weather permits I may try an attempt with video next weekend, otherwise it will have to wait until after Christmas.

Pismo Beach...Widowmaker UL...winds 3-4mph...65' X 50# lines
The Widowmaker has a larger sail than the Talon and is slower to roll under. Notice I have to take a step forward to gain enough slack to complete the trick. Notice just a flick of the Wrist rolls it back to a Fade. Read Tip #3 ...............Joe you have the right equipment.

The thinner straps are 9/16" (15mm). I also make 3/4" (19mm). The wider ones are 1" (25mm)
I also have 1/2", but I don't use any hardware at the ends on them.

Kind of like claiming a hole in one all by yourself, but I did it before Thanksgiving on Treasure Island.  Now if only I could get my wife to video for me!  She doesn't golf either, so I'm without a hole in one as well!!

With a contraption like this you won't need your wife's help.

With a contraption like that, my wife would stay at home.  Cheesy

Joe you have the right equipment

Norm,
you demo the AAFFF on both the Talon UL and WM UL, since I have both, my only excuse if a lack of talent.  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy    Huh    Cry

Joe your Ocius will roll up faster than the WM so you have a choice of speed vs control. Nice to have more than one weapon in your bag.   Wink
