One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Now if only I could get my wife to video for me!
With a contraption like this you won't need your wife's help.

With a contraption like that, my wife would stay at home.  Cheesy

These tattoo version straps are made for anybody that doesn't like originality.

Those Tatoo straps look pretty sweet!   Grin
Sorry but I do not understand the joke (if their is one) but seriously, they look nice.  Do you have a set in a green/white or grey.    Or possibly a light blue/white or grey combination?
Just asking in advance for when I nail the 4 AVFFF's!     Cheesy

Charles:
Joke?: You'll have to figure it out for yourself. (if there was one)
Green/White or Gray: My color selection is becoming less and less........economy. My source of webbing use to carry 8 colors and now only 4.
Blue/White or Gray: I have never seen White, but they might make it. Blue is usually no problem. I have Blue on hand in 1", 9/16", and 3/4".
Gray/Silver: Here's a picture of Gray, but I haven't seen any recently. Green probably this Spring when webbing becomes more demanding. I live near Yosemite National Park. The park is very popular for rock climbing, so there is variety of webbing at a couple of stores specializing in Rock Climbing. Don't forget the first 4 fliers to post a video doing 4 respectable AVFFF's will receive a FREE pair of straps of their choice. Would you like your name on them also................just kidding.

Fade manouvers and tricks based off of them are my favorites such as back spin, back spin cascade and lewis (Jacobs ladder I've almost figured out and can do one rung sometimes two) still working on the inverse.
Charles,

I recognized your post about the fade and the tricks you are trying in association with the fade when you first posted. I was waiting to see if anybody else recognized it.  Several tricks from a fade position are available. AVFFF's, Backspin, Backspin Cascade, Jacob Ladders, Roll-Ups, and Wap do Wap. Another great feature with the fade is it will force you to learn line control of your kite. Can't understand why anybody would not want to learn the fade. We are for sure on the same page and I'm sure you will be one of the four winners.  Cool  Grin

Since I will never be able to win these, I'm thinking of using my wife's sewing machine (which I have almost never touched) to turn a set of Prism straps into a resemblance of their Duo straps. I assume it's not that hard? Just fold them up and stitch it a few times?

What benefit are all those overhand knots on the leader? Do they help adjust for stretched lines or something?

Red Sweater go to REI and pick up about 3-4' of their 1" flat webbing (.40$/') or tubular webbing (more comfortable and cheaper at $.30/' little harder to sew since it is thicker though).....you can make a couple of sets that way for cheap...and you can customize them as you wish....
Cut with a razor blade then seal the edge up afterward with a flame to prevent fraying (hate when webbing frays!)....then you can loop that piece around until you find the loop configuration that you like the best (you could use a stapler to temporarily hold them in place......sew the ends together and any loopy parts where they touch....and for the end you can make a leader line out of their 2mm line or pick up a couple of plastic DRings there too and sew those into place.....

Something like username: Winterdaze made? Yes, the four overhand knots are used for quick in-field line adjustments.

Would you mind posting some pictures of the ones you have made?
