One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Nice flying and I read one of the post.  I am going to six or seven..then maybe I won't choke on four.  But you showed a good example of how Norm does them... I run all over the place... Nice camera shots. and nice yellow kite..

You should know by now the only way you will ever do advanced tricks is with a pair of Tim's 19mm Knuckle Dusters.  Wink  Roll Eyes

Probably the best UK sourced finger straps in the world (to misquote Carlsberg), but then I might have less than an unbiased view on them.  Worth the investment Steve, not that they will turn you into a 'ninja' flyer, but they certainly won't get in the way.  Other makes of finger straps are available of course, and may be just as good or better, eh Norm. For the record:  Tim's design.  My choice of materials and the odd design tweak.  Makes it much easier for everybody now he's selling them direct.  Grin

its really hard to change when you have used a particular strap for so long. The finger straps feel realy strange to me but I probably need to persevere.

The way Tim designed the Knuckle Duster they make for a good "fits-all" size. Yes, it is an odd design tweak. Not sure if you can reach your index fingers to the pigtail for finger tip line control. Can this be done??

Yes Jon, these are available at 5 kite stores on the Left Coast and might be just as good or better. They also come in a multitude of colors.   Wink

I completed this challenge more than once with different kites but none of them made onto the video. With Tom's Tekken DOL, my iphone, and his camera skill, it is finally on video this time.  Notice his background comments started with "too much slack" and ended with "fly off like a professional” followed with our laughs when I attempted to squeeze one more in it but ended up "grounded" the kite.  What a fun afternoon! As always, many thanks Tom  Smiley  DHS

Happy New Year!!!

By George Tom....I think we have our first AVFFF "trick challenge" winner. I know you're not a professional, because you didn't get the chance to fly off.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy You did exactly what I would have done.......tried for one more. Nice job........and the first winner right here on the left coast. It also sounded like you guys had fun doing it and that's what it's all about.  Tongue  Now all you need to do is let me know if you want 2-finger or 3-finger straps and what color you want. I have 9/16" webbing in Purple, Black, Red, Blue. I can make a matched pair of any of the colors such as Red/Red or mix-match (Black/Red) using any of the colors. If you want a pair of split-finger I will ask Charles P up in the Pacific Northwest to mail you the sizing loops and I will make you a custom fit pair of split-finger.  Grin  Your Call...............Congratulations................. Good Job.

It was a lot of fun making the video...thanks so much Norm for such a great idea.  Hand made straps are priceless especially Norm makes them...A pair of matching 3-finger straps in purple with orange and yellow/gold/white lead lines (so I can tell which line is which) would be great.

Sorry, I could'nt accommodate your color choices for the line-equalizers. I am very limited with acc. cordage. I wish I could find an assortment of 2mm. These are made and ready to ship to an address somewhere reasonably close to kite hill. Please PM me your address and I'll get these in the mail for you.

These may not be the Worlds best, but they're as close as you can get and they are available in more than one color.  Wink
