Norm,
You a bit wrong on that one.  Yes.. Wayne is a class act on his congratulations...  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Your the "Real" class act.  Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Offering the challenge in the first place. I am proud to know you.  I know even though I have not concluded the challenge (video4) ...One day I will.  I and others who have tried to meet the challenge some times miss the point.  We learned a new trick..  Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Norm you have introduced a new trick to a lot of people.  Many of us probably do Really Nice "Double" AVFFF.  I know sometimes I can do one when ever I feel like it. Not 4.  But that is the beauty of it.  I like that it's a trick I do.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

For many of us the true Class Act is you. Cool Cool Cool Cool  The West Coast guys are having a ball with it. Wink Wink Wink  East coast is biting at the bit. Cry Cry  The spring will bring a number of guys trying to learn the trick.  With full instructions by you becuase you Care... Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss

Just a guy who Cares...  That's a Class Act ...  You offer the prize which everyone knows my feelings towards. The real prize is we learned a New Trick... But you have encouraged so many to try... There is No telling how many guys will post on this thread all summer long.  Or how many more Straps your going to make.  Come spring we may need another "Challenege"... (how bout' 540's),, Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I'd like anyone who agrees with me to let him know also...

I second what vetigo2u just posted.

These challenges from Norm are great, it gives a lot of us something to shoot for and in my case, to learn a trick I never knew existed.
I'd write a longer post on this subject but we have partly cloudy skies and low winds, I'm outa here! Going to the field to work on the AVFFF as well as some other tricks.    Grin

I also second what vetigo2u said.

Norm's earlier challange pushed me into learning the backspin.  Grin    Think about everytine i do a backspin or use norms straps.  Wink

Still excited about this challange and learning the AVFFF. Ran into two major obstacles. Lack of wind and lack of skill.

Hope to get some wind so I can develop my skills. Their is always room in my bag for another pair of norm straps.  Cool

I'm hoping to have a video of me doing 4 AVFFF's by next weekend if the weather cooperates.  I had a very productive day at the field today doing a set of 3 AVFFF's 3 times, one set of 4 but I hit the ground on the fourth and I completed a set of five!!
Thats right, 1-2-3-4-5!! I will try to prove this next weekend with a camera. I just hope I don't crack under the pressure.   Lips sealed

Thanks Joe for all of your enthusiasm and kind words. It's too bad you don't know the WAYS of the forum. You haven't been here long enough. I have been and know and understand the WAYS. To my knowledge there is only Youself, Wayner, and Charles P. working on the AVFFF. Must be a lot of lurkers, because of all the views. The views don't matter to me. I would like to see anyone learn tricks faster than I did. So, I thought this "trick challenge" might be a way to help. You know as well as I do there are always other opinions. Here is one below I can remember. Let's not also forget everybody likes a "freebee" whether it's a Donut,  Grin  Wink cup of coffee, or a Custom made pair of Flight Straps. All of this for flying your kite, learning a trick, and getting a freebee mailed to your door steps at NO cost. Not a bad deal.

This whole thing is stupid, and should probably stop. Just put an end to it, and do this with another trick. If I see one more post about this, weather it is or isnt a A__(insert what will probably turn into 5 more letters here)__FFF or the extended acronym itself again I'm going to explode.

I wonder if he likes the taste of Crow?

I've got so much confidence in you that I have already made your custom split-finger straps.
I hope this picture nor the video camera causes you to crack. Now for some favorable wind & weather.

Wow Norm, they look great!! Thanks for the vote of confidence, I just hope I don't choke when under the eye of the camera!!

Pretty sure I'll have a video for you as soon as the weather permits but I might need some assistance in getting it uploaded to the forum. I was barely able to put my profile picture up.    Cheesy

Many of us probably do Really Nice "Double" AVFFF.

The "Double" AVFFF is a completly different trick than the AVFFF. I'm sure you meant to say
two rotations of the AVFFF. Nobody has posted a video in the a "Double" AVFFF trick
challenge thread HERE. My offer still stands for the "Double" AVFFF trick challenge. If you complete the "Double" AVFF trick challenge you will most certainly understand the meaning of slack in your lines.

Like I told you; If you complete the "trick challenge" with your Seven SUL I will add another style of strap to your split-finger package.

Straps arrived during the weekend!!!  Smiley  A big thank to our "Trick Challange" sponsor Norm and my Kite Hill friend Tom!!!

I tested them yesterday.  My trick skill improved "instantly" Wink and I pulled 4 AVFFFs on Kite Hill at Gas Works Park again (http://www.seattle.gov/tour/union.htm).  This park is different from Tom's Kite Hill at Magnoson Park where the hill is not as steep.  Flying on top of a high hill makes the multiple AVFFFs easy as it provides much more room to squeeze the last one in.  Too bad, Tom could not join me there yesterday and I have no video proof.

Norm, I am totally ready for your next "Trick Challenge".  How about add a "lazy spin" in between the AVFFF pancakes to make it "Wap Doo Wap"? - Starting at 0:58 of this Mama74 video

Wap Doo Wap Studies

So far I am not even able to pull a single one consistently.  Two consecutive ones could be a real challenge.  I think I will challenge my Kite Hill friend Tom first Wink.  Chris Goff did 4 consecutive ones in this video - Starting at 2:28

You've been reading to many of Joe's username: (vertigo2u's) post.  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy
You seem like a fun guy to fly with as you have a good sense of humor.
Nothing quite like a Lam kite and a pair of Norm's Straps.  Grin  Wink  Wink  Wink

make it "Wap Doo Wap"?
I'm not going to ask anyone to do a trick I can't do.  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Hey Norm, I'm still trying, but I'm getting rusty from lack of flying... you can see 2 poor attempts in my 'Snow Devil' video at 1:47 and 2:45. I think I might also have a better chance if the wind were over 2mph.

Snow Devil... Feb.2013

Congrats to dihongshao2000 on being the first to complete this challenge, you west coast guys must have flying in your DNA !
