One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Nice job Drew... btw:  Those flight straps will change your flying for the good.

I'm almost afraid to send Drew's straps to him for fear he will win ALL of the challenges.
He's young and catches on fast, not like us old farts. Well, except for posting vids.  Cheesy

Sooner or later I'll post four or five.  It can wear one out trying to get four.  But Norm knows I have to be smooth when I do it..
This will be your break-through year Joe. Get a good 5mph wind & your Widowmaker Standard.
75 to 85 foot lines and bang them babies out. Get in a rythm 1....2....3. outstretch them arms for addictional slack. Four rotations is all you need.  Grin

Don't forget about this Joe. Widowmaker UL Pismo Beach, Ca. I like the faster pace of the Talon UL as opposed to the slower Widowmaker UL. The upside to the Widowmaker UL is it will do them in lesser wind than the Talon. Notice how I have to step forward to gain the slack I need. This is on 65 foot lines. If I didn't accept some (not so perfect videos) the challenges would never get completed. Who am I to ask for perfection? Mine are certainly not perfect. The only thing perfect in this video is my body/keg.  Cheesy

Joe, I am sure you will. I have seen your videos. You have got it down, the wind looked pretty high in your videos. I went early in the morning in Berkeley when the winds had died down (a bit..., it is Berkeley you know) and it was easier.

I am going to quit my job (kidding) and camp out at the Marina.

Nancy, I would totally do that if I could Undecided

The wind was pretty strong (at least 10 +), but I was able to do 2 in a row. Here are my fail videos.
Drew,
Your success rate will be a lot better with this trick when you do them in 6mph wind with your Standard Widowmaker. You'll get in a rythm and knock them out with ease and a little more practice of course. I'll get your RED pair of 2-finger straps started tonight.

These are in route to a new home.  Cry  Please let me know if they arrive safely.
Enjoy  Grin There is only 1 available spot open for the AVFFF "trick challenge". Then there are 2 exceptions with Joe & Wayne "grandfathered" in. I will honor both of theirs when I see a video from them.  Tongue
