Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

You just need to move your tow points back a couple of mm.  Wink

Denny

OK Denny, thanks to Steve's web reference I now know what the tow points are...  Embarrassed
They are the pig tails, right?

When you say move them back you mean towards the spine?

I guess that if I shorten the inhaul as proposed by Steve, I'll be actually doing that right?

Thanks.

You have to be careful with bridle adjustments Ara.  You don't just move one way.  WHen you shorten the inhaul you are not only moving the tow point closer to the spine but also down toward the tail and in toward the sail.  Its a common misconception that when you adjust a bridle leg you move the tow point in a straight line when actually its a minute arc.  You may find that after shortening the in haul you also need to adjust the AOA toward the nose slightly to get the tow point back in flying range.

THis is an issue I find with using pig tails at the LE's for AOA adjustments.  Not only do you change the AoA but you also change the bridles complete geometry and how the kite handles in flight as well as tricks which can make tuning a lot harder.  With adjusting AoA at the tow point instead of a bridle leg end you maintain the overall geometry of the bridle and the kite tends not to get out of dynamic balance as easily.
