Techwash is good for any outdoor gear.....it is a non-phosphate detergent...works like a charm...it works best on waterproof breathable fabrics and membranes to rejuvenate your rain coats....most of the time a waterproof/weather resistant material is not working well anymore is because the pores and coatings are chock full of junk...this stuff is the best to use on it...
neoprene...drysuits...rain shells...softshells....
then after a wash toss the jacket into a dryer for a bit and that will help to reset the waterproof-ness...

oh yeah it works on kites too!
