One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

In 93' Berkeley, Team High Performance flew the Edge, Spectra Sport for the last time.
They soon started to develop the Platinum AVS, Pro Comp, SUL, Giant, and a 3 stack tangleless
kite (it was actually Alan Nagao and myself who worked on the stack since I had the most experience with stacked kites flying for Randy Tom and his Elite Flight team) for Falhawk. I was one of the test pilots during this time. A little time after the kites went into production (except the stack) the Team broke up. Too bad, they were very good and talented as a team and individually. And they could party like animals, that was fun time.

Update with the results of the 2012 WorldCup in Berck-sur-mer.

Same podium as in 2010.

The World Cup ran '90 to '98. The WSKC started in 2002 and continues. Somewhere out there is a man who still owns the rights to the World Cup.

That would be correct.

WC was organized by American Kite Magazine. The program was sold to Ocean Kites in LB Washington in 1997 and disappeared two years later.

  If I remember correctly, the World Cup rights were sold to Terry Yunkers of Ocean Kites, Terry passed away at Los Angeles Intl airport on route to the AKA Convention in 1999.

Wow a competition in Australia. I didn't know we even had enough dualies flyers in Australia to make up a team , let alone host a comp!
