My First Kite Build (SLK)

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

I made this kite from modifying and blending a few plans.
It is about 10m in length (32 feet)

Ripstop Nylon Fabric (about 6m of Fabric I think)
6mm Fibreglass frame.

It is very steady in the sky in moderate winds and up.
It does have a low flying angle though.





I wanted something simple but longish for my first build.
I am considering adding more colour to it, but I am not sure.

that should be super stable with the tail and with the shape of the head being swept back....is that bow done by diherdral fittings or is it a tension line holding the edges in?

Beautiful!
I would not touch the colour. I find it great!
And if you put in more colors I think you will fragment the huge beautiful flying surface.
You should publish the plans...

The Fabric was chosen because it has High Vis Aspects.
It does "Caterpillar crawl" in low winds.

It does hold Stable in a wide variety of winds.
I used 3 Dihedrals on the head.
I wanted to keep away from bow-lines on my first kite.
