Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The attached provides a picture of the lower spreader, standoff and bungee.  If memory services me correctly, you slide the bungee on the lower spreader and assemble the kite.  Then you insert the nock end of the standoff into the sail loop.  Then you insert the end cap end of the standoff into the tubing on the lower spreader.  Finally, you take the loose end of the bungee and place it in the nock over the sail loop.  The bungee keeps the standoff on the sail loop.  I hope this helps.

ah....i thought that the bungee line was just a leash that was larksheaded to the standoff and to the loop it was 'nocked' on!

The bungee keeps the standoff from coming out of the loop and the tubing on the spreader.  Backing in 1990, I built some of my original prototype Falcon stunt kites this way, before using a pocket sewn to the trailing edge of sail.

Anthony, how did you know my Fire Dart is red-and-black? It is, and it looks striking in this colour combo, but I don't remember mentioning it anywhere (or am I going senile now?)

Ha Ha, I just hold the envelope next to my temple ala Johnny Carson and all is revealed... Cool Cool Cool

Actually, I check the U.K. eBay from time to time and when you said you picked it up off eBay, I checked the completed listings on the U.K. site and there she was. Figured that's the one you bought!

Correct! And a steal for only 19.99 (~$30); still can't believe I was the only bidder.
