Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Just a quick FYI. While surfing "that
Auction site" ... there is a really sweet Ron Gibian slk as well as a not too appealing (to me) white bird.

John, loved the pictures... I have to ask, picture #240, there's a Prism kite in the foreground, looks like an Illusion... any info on that ? I've never seen one with the rainbow fabric, at least not like that one ! I wonder who's got that one stashed in their attic...
BTW... did you ever get off the ground with that paraglider ?    Grin

That is not a Prism kite.

It was made by the late Dennis (Dorsal) Fishback.

It was a tribute to the Illusion and Prophecy and rainbow fabric.

Dennis had a name for it, but I forget.

He took a lot of grief from the Forum at the time for making a look-a-like pattern.

Anyone remember what he called it? May have been a fish name.

 Cheesy  Sorry, had to laugh...

Was Dennis the guy who was into stacking the Spirit quad line kites ? The name Dorsal seems to ring a bell to that. The kite looked like the panel layout of an Illusion, but had the 'turbulator' vent holes in the wingtips like the Elixir and Proph. I figured it was a one-off Prism.
Yes, I found more pictures of it as I clicked through all ~600+ pictures. It's been said before, but thank you so much for the photo history. I really enjoyed the pics of the guy with the floppy disc camera... that wasn't JimB, was it ?
