For all the talk we had before the show,

there hasn't been much talk since.

Did anything pique (just wanted to use that word) your interest?

Even though I'm not really a SLK kind of guy,

the P51 looked great and it should only be about $20.

I also liked the
  Manta
  Crackerjack
  Tri-Tail deltas
  Mini window stick-on sport kites

Just wondering if you saw anything that looked interesting?

I like Premier being bold with the new bubble pattern Ripstop. I also like the suction cup mini stunt kites. Who made them?

The small sport kites are sold by In The Breeze.

I don't know who makes them.

I did buy 2 of the Angry Bird Air Swimmers (Helium filled).
These will be Christmas presents.

If anyone can give a retail outlet that sells those suction cup stunt kites I would appreciate it.

Just saw your updated pictures with the Smithi Pro and the link to the video. Very interested in that.

The modified Genki's with the new ripstop patterns are nice too. Like to see Premier take some real design chances with ripstop and sail layout on a lot of different kites.

I was hoping to catch a glance of the rumored new Premier Widow sail pattern. I didn't see it in their catalog. Anyone have an idea if it's not a rumor?

It's definitely all about the new Manta for me.  I waiting back when they were originally offered, hoping for a sail redesign, then missed my chance to get one.

Plus, the new one comes in orange.  ORANGE!  That's
my
signature
color!

Well, first I'd like to say thank you, John. For fighting through camera adversity and getting the rest of us a glimpse inside once again. Was the show much smaller this year ? It looks like a fun time, even if there seemed to be a lack of new product...

There will be no Widow NG (New Graphics).

And many have asked for the Widow to come back.

The show was about the same size as last year, but

smaller than 2 years ago.

I talked with Jon T. regarding the Widow and they are still in discussion about it.  I hope that things go as currently planned and they do bring it back.  I have no idea as to  why they stopped in the first place.  Didn't make sense then, doesn't now.  Anyways, hopefully it will come back, and if so it will have some new colors.

I loved the Premier Genki's, I purchased the ones at the show.  Premier also has some awesome 10.5' double box delta's that were hiding behind other kites that I don't think John seen.

I liked the big square SLK's from Skydog, but the price is very high.

Talking with Prism.......they didn't have anything new at the show but later on in the year (maybe around fall??) they may have a couple new products coming.  Nothing is in stone yet but that was kinda exciting.   I did get a video of Mark Reed learning to speed-stack cups. LOL.

I also liked the Crackerjack from HQ.  I got one for John C. to get some photo's of and for us all to demo, more info when the winds cooperate.

There were quite a bit of new items coming out from the show, the best thing was that most everyone I talked to was very UP about things and looking forward to doing more in the coming year - a great sign IMO as previous years gave a feeling of being much more reserved and concerned about doing anything at all.  Lots of talk about new things to come which was a very pleasant change of attitude. Smiley

Oh, and congrats to Dodd and Skydog for winning Kite Of The Year.

Looks like the KTAI will be in Vegas again next year - awesome!  So.....here's the real question.  How many of you would want to come out for our Demo Days fun fly?  It looks like it will be open to the public for all to come and hang with the manufacturers/designers, ask questions, see and fly all the new gear?

Lets hear it?

The Mini stunt kites with suction cups (if they are the ones I am thinking of) are made by HQ.

Lest we forget..... also suitable for casual wear

Gamelord, you grabbed two of the kites from my list.  Grin
Can't wait to see the 10.5' double box delta's that were not in the photos.
Hope the winds show up for a test flight of these babies.

Looks like I will be adding some more kites to my kite bags.  Wink

I will be there! Love it last year. Sorry to miss it this year.
