After trying to learn taz it was suggested not to try it on a certain kite until I can do it on others.

So I am curious which kites are great for learning specific tricks? Which kites do a trick even if ones inputs are too strong or timing is slightly off? You could give a kite a rating if you prefer on a 1-5 (5 being automatic) how easily the kite will do the trick.

Example:
Taz Machine: TNT, NSE 15
Fade: Transformer, Sea Devil
540: Black Pearl UL/STD (4)
Flap Jack: Transformer SSUL
K2000:  Transformer SSUL

The kites we don't own are the ones which do the tricks

we haven't mastered yet.

It was that way with tennis rackets too.  Roll Eyes

comete - Tekken
JL - Fearless
yoyo - Transformer
backspin/cascade - Fearless
cascade - Fearless
precision - Tekken

I have yet to find a kite that gives away the Taz that doesn't wreak some havoc with other flight elements.

The kite you've been flying exclusively for the last 3 years gives away all the tricks you know.  Wink

Tom, you can be 6 kite tom, but now you need to be 1 brand Tom. Smiley

Does the Transformer "give away" the JL also?

As far as kites suffering at other tricks at the expense of others, thats what I am after from this thread. It would be no fun to get frustrated with trying to learn a trick only to find out its something the kite is not good at. I know most of you guys can do any trick with any kite, this is to make it better for us rookies.

Harvey;
Interesting on the SEVEN for JL. It does easily flip over, and does it quickly like the transformer. I had not considered it for a JL trainer. Makes sense. The Flare to Fade aka Flic Flac step is another item that seems drastically different on some kites.

Adding:
Fade Launch (belly launch to Fade): SEVEN (4+)

It just gives you loads of thinking time as its quite measured and the large turbo leg makes it quite fliperty flopperty.

I struggle with repeatable cascades on the one I've just acquired.  Is it me? (Damn fool question really, coz I might not like the answer. Wink)

It does JL particularly nicely and does a lot of other good stuff.  Very pleasantly surprised about how wide a wind range it has as well.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but we are looking for specifics on this thread. Can you rate some tricks it gives away 1-5?

This would be a good one, since one of the forum sponsors has avertised they are going to be stocking the Saber 3.

Yes, but what specifically.

You do not need to work hard for the tricks because Fearless will do them for you.  It is the kite that give away tricks.  I have flown R-Sky Nirvana, Benson Gemini/Deep Space, Prism Elixir/Zephyr, and none of them come close to that.   I think the only other kites that offer the giveaway are the Tekken, Transformer  and Sea Devil.

I am talking about an all rounded kite that can give away a lot of tricks, not just a specific trick.
