One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

It's still a nice hat. Very classy. I wish people wore them more (and I'm not talking about baseball caps). A loss to society in my opinion.

Wow, saying that in the USA is being really an outsider, a radical or an outcast... Wink
In any case it can get you in deep trouble  Cheesy

BTW... although I sometimes wear a baseball cap I agree with you...  Roll Eyes

This was taken off the web:

There are two proper ways to wear a baseball hat. You either have the brim facing forward or the brim facing backwards.

The current rage in some of the younger circles seems to be wearing your hat cocked to one side or the other. If you do this, this makes you look like an lazy, dope smoking, jobless, sagging, idiot.

I am embarassed to see people wearing their baseball hats this way. If you want to look like a dumbass, criminal, rapper, hip-hop artist, gangster go right ahead. But if you actually want people to believe that you are going somewhere in life, you might want to show it by proving to us that you know how to put a baseball hat on.

Well, I promise to wear my Tilley hat when I make my video for the new trick challenge. If it's still cold, I'll wear my wool Stetson. Although, there's no way I'm mounting a camera on top of them.

I am there as 6'' snow is falling right now...  Cry Cry Cry Cry  I actually flew for a couple minutes yesterday in some Extremely low wind.  Had Ul wrong kite.
Joe, let me know when you can fly on grass rather than snow and I'll post the next "trick challenge" video. If you can fly on grass I'm sure Jim will be on grass also.

I'm not a spring chicken anymore, but I don't think I'm quite old/hipster enough for a hat like that. I'm sure it would draw some snickers if I wore it. Also, on the topic of wearing baseball caps correctly, the flat brims are disgusting. Curve that thing. Rubber band it overnight. Or longer.

They are actually selling caps with flat brims now, so stiff I don't think they'd curve no matter how many rubberbands you used. Never thought of these kids as criminals, tho. Just think of them as trying to be kewl. Heck, my parents thought the same things about "those longhairs" after the Beatles showed up on the Ed Sullivan Show and all the kids began to grow their hair out.

Yeah, but the Beatles didn't sing about poppin' caps Into someone's a$$... I think there's a difference between the peaceful long hairs of the 60s and the punks of today... Gangsta ?  Gangsters go to jail...   Angry

I know, but there are for-real gangstas and there are kids who just like the fashion. I was talkin' about the fashionistas. Most are good kids.

Yea this whole hip hop/gansta fashion thing is just dumb and whether they like it or not the style breeds the lazy, no good, criminal stereo type since the majority of them are.  Those flat brim hats can be curves but you have to heat them since the brims are plastic or they wont stay.

Curious though as to what the beginner's challenge will be.

Stay tuned until I find out Joe, Jim, UK northernmonkey group, and others can fly on grass, dirt, sand, or rocks rather than snow. As soon as they give me the go ahead I'll post the next "trick challenge". I don't intentionally leave people out and trying to be fair the best I know how.  Wink

Hey Joe, you wouldn't have so much snow in your yard if you would buy one of these and blow it all out into the street and let the City worry about it. Let me know when your snow is gone and you are able to fly.  Cool

I can see high forties in the 7 day forecast for next week. Maybe we've turned the corner on whatever pressure system was pushing cold air jet stream down to us here.

How would you like to wake up to the sound of this d@mn thing ? Imagine your neighbor had one of these ?  Cheesy

Of course I love this, I want one... just don't have the garage space for a snow machine that big. I think it needs a bigger first stage, at least a foot taller. That thing has easily enough power to push a lot more snow at once when it's throttled up. What a sound, though! Way better than my Honda snowblower.

V8 snowblower 126 feet.

Sorry to see most of my fellow challange flyers are still covered in snow.

It's 74 and sunny here. Time for shorts.  Smiley

By the time most of you have your snow melt, it will be over 100 here.  Embarrassed
