Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I can no longer post pictures from my computer onto the forum. It says the folder is FULL and to contact Admin. I don't want to use a web based photo url. So, I'm guessing Admin will need to go in for some work and delete older pictures. Am I somewhere in the ballpark?

If i remember correctly the attached pictures get deleted after 90 days?   Steve would have to verify this....but that is why I do use online storage so that the pictures are not missing from posts in the future.

Why not go back and delete some of your old photos yourself?
That way you choose which to keep.
I wasn't aware I could make it work using this method. But, I'm going in to give it a try.

I do know they get deleted by Admin. Not sure on the time frame (90 days). It's so much easier for me to do directly from my computer than online url's. thanks

I've gone back in to a lot of my post and removed pictures. At first it allowed me to post new pictures, but now I'm back to square one........folder is full and contact Admin.

If you all ready have a Google account, it's really easy to set up a Picasa account. If you post your pictures there, it's easy to just paste a link into your post.

Google has transitioned Picassa to Google Plus, if you have a Google Plus account your picassa photo's have been moved over and I can find no way to share a single photo anymore, only a complete album.

I'm writing Google now to see if there is any solution other then deleting your Goggle Plus account to continue using Picassa.

oh yeah....picasa is still there as you knew it.....you just need to use the right URL Wink to get back to your picasa pages!

Mike try out: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/myphotos?noredirect=1

here is a blog post about it from engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2013/03/05/google-picasa-url-redirect/

Thank You! Thief  -  I had read about it earlier and heard you could still use the old web albums if you fixed some settings but of course I didn't write it down. So I only have 6 computers, running 8 operating systems with two browsers on each plus 3 phones/tablets with 2 browsers each to change all those bookmarks on - jeez that's 24 bookmarks and 6 reboots to fix!  So do you know where I send Google the bill?  LOL

I tried Google+ for about 5 minutes.

Couldn't find search.
Couldn't change the size of the huge thumbnails.
Google+ looks like it is meant for people with just a few photos.

When I turned it off, they asked me why I left it.

Told them what I just wrote here.

Picasa is the best photo hosting service on the web.
I really hope it doesn't go away.

After turning on Google+, even with using the picasaweb URL the galleries and access are still not what they were. Drove me NUTS. Pulled the plug. Everything in kitehead's photos is back the way it should be,

I just switched to using Google+ with a different account than the one used for Picasaweb. Then after I realized G+ had nothing to offer...   Cheesy
