When cutting out the wooden templates for the kites panels I normally use a jigsaw but the other day when cutting out the Magnet templates I experimented with a “Oscillating Multi tool” this one called a SoniCrafter.
It came with a few different blades but after some tests cuts the 3 ˝ inch half circle blade looked like the best one to cut the 3mm MDF that I use for the templates.
Found I had more control if I didn't do the cuts in a single pass even so the saw could do that instead I took 2 or 3 passes, for the straight cuts used a straight edge and the curves free handed.
Found the saw easy to control and produced clean cuts with the templates only need a light sanding to remove the fluff on the edges. An added bonus was the saw generates very little sawdust.
The curves on the Magnet templates weren't a problem but tighter curves I would suspect be an issue with the 3 ˝ inch half circle blade maybe one of the smaller blade you can buy would be ok.
