Spectra Sports Kites FYI pics added

whitebirdlover:
I just picked up a seemingly unflown "Spectra Sports Kites" that's framed in "The Advantage" rods by Revolution Industries. The sail pattern is RWB and looks like an "Edge" series layout. Any FYI on the wind range for such a configuration and what about line sizing? These seem to be very substantial rods but I haven't had a chance to have them sized yet.
Thanks for any input on this one... 8)

Update:
I just noticed there is notation on the Rev sticker that states "professional use only"...
Say, does that make me a "professional kite flyer" if I can keep it in the air...  :D

Smeagol:
Pretty sure "advantage" rods are 4-wrap.

Oops, apparently advantage has nothing to do with it.

What does that mean?

4-wrap is one of the stronger Rev rods, typically used in the more entry level or higher wind model Revs.  I suppose you could equate a 4-wrap rod to say a 5PT.  I believe it actually has 4 layers or wraps.

Sorry I was off on the "advantage" thing.

Professional Use Only is definitely 2-wrap.  I just looked and I have some of these in a box.  Seems some of the older Rev rods were marked with "The Advantage" along with the type.

Yes, you are now officially a professional kite flier.  ;D
