"It's a bird! It's a plane!" "It's a giant flying octopus!" Well actually, it could be all three at  the Livingston's 2nd Annual Kite Festival.
The Kite Festival will be free to the public and will have many activities such as Pie Eating Contests, Face Painting, Bounce Houses, Candy Drop Gigantic Kite Flying demonstrations, Crafts and Vendor booths, plus various cultural performances. There will be safety demonstration from PG&E, Livingston Police and Fire, Merced County Sheriff and the California Highway Patrol Helicopter.
A crowd of over 5,000 is expected. Attendees will have the opportunity to enter kite flying and building competitions to win a variety of wonderful prizes. Don't have a kite? Don't worry the first 500 kids get a free kite and we will have kite making workshops for children to build their own kites.
There will be plenty of space for Free Flyin Kite Lovers or those who prefer to stroll around and just enjoy the magnificent view and entertainment.
