One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

After speaking to a few people on the subject, and reading recent posts, I have decided to take the Kite Party in a completely new direction. In the future, teams that sign up for Demo's during the day will instead share time SINGING over the P.A. system. Not only will this add diversity to the musical selection, it will also reduce the amount of demo time and free up more time for flying, a win-win situation. In addition, this will likely ensure an expeditious departure of all spectators in subsequent years, thus eliminating the need for demos at all. I hope this forward thinking approach meets the demand of a more contemporary event.  Wink
Thank you.

PS: As I know this forum is loaded with creative, outside the box personalities, I would like to take this opportunity to open the doors to ideas. Remember, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT.
PPS: This post was meant to be entirely and 100% humorous. If anyone was offended, please allow me to say I'm sorry, and to kindly and delicately suggest you "lighten up" just a tad.  Grin

Have one "demo team" select the music for the other team/teams. Could get interesting.  Cheesy
Does the Mystery Ballet still exist at festivals out there?   That was always fun at Newport!

I had a good laugh reading that one, Dave!  Seems like you're all rested up from the weekend.

(Hmm, maybe a demo to a Harry Partch composition...)

I would like to propose we kick the Party off with a parade. Give it more of a carnie feel. Maybe include a march of giant midgets.

Seriously though John,
I would be proud to wear a shirt with your name on it,
and be recognized as your friend!  Wink
