One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Joannes usually has all type of taffeta fabric in all colors.  Organza sheer cloth makes nice tails but it can be deceptively heavy.

You could visit any sort of fabric store...i would certainly point out that getting fabric online somewhere you might find out in actuality that it is not what you thought it might be could be a pain....
Joanne's has a lot of fabrics to choose from..and there are different types of tafetta out there....you might find something else in the store that is relatively UV stable and the color you like....some of their mesh-y materials can make awesome tails!

Most fabric stores sell the same taffeta that gomberg uses but you have to sort through it yourself to fine the right one.  Most store workers wouldn't know what you mean if you asked for 3/4 oz nylon or polyester taffeta.  You want to ask for taffeta then look for satin/nylon/polyester on the lables and feel the cloth. USually it will be in with the formal wear fabrics.  Hell I've even found it at wally world in their sewing section.
