Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Yep -- made by Rolf Zimmerman. I believe this design was the German National Champion twop years ago.

Now owned by Dale Ray of Olympia Washington. Definitely a show-stopper!

Dale asked us to bring the kite back for him from France.

Hey Dave,

How does it fly....looks like a lot of different levels and inlets need to fill for it to fly correctly.

Do you have any other pics?

Thanks

I fully appreciate the ability of trees to attract kites. They have special powers that way.

Not a lot of photos, Patrick.

The lift is generated in the wings. The head is attached to a lifter line and tends to wander -- which makes the dragon look like he is searching the ground below. And the body is stabilized by a large drogue.

Not a large bulky kite. Very delicate. Nice piece!!
