One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hi everyone.

I often  check the forum through my Samsung Tablet. Especially when I'm on the move.

I have found that quite often, when someone publishes a video on Youtube and I try to watch it trough my tab I get a message saying the owner has not made it available for mobile devices and so I cannot watch it.

I wanted to please ask you that when you publish a video to link it from the forum to explicitly make it available for mobile devices to allow everyone with smartphones and tablets to enjoy the videos.

Thanks!

I think that, depending on the audio that is with the video, it may restrict its playing on a mobile device.   I've seen this several times on videos that I've posted in the past.

So, it's not that the uploader is not allowing viewing (at least in my case), but it's that the music owner does not allow it.  Vimeo seems to be an easy way around it, although they must be violating some rights in order to do it.

Agree with the mobile device problem, but I am not sure the solution.

Its distracting watching them at work and having to keep looking over my shoulder to keep from getting busted by the boss man  Shocked

There has been a trend lately with you tube where you need the app for your device to view the vids.  There is a version for both android and iphone's that should fix that issue.  Not sure about other types of tablets.

The app is what has messed it up. Months ago, after getting this same message many times, I'd found a tiny link at the bottom of the page (both Youtube and Vimeo had one), saying something like "use desktop." Vimeo still has that, but Youtube doesn't. Youtube has been experimenting tho- making lots of changes on an almost daily basis sometimes. I think they forgot to add that back in. Next time they bug me for feedback I will mention it.
