I just watched the last episode of “Firefly”. Another one season wonder. To bad it did not catch on, I liked it. At least I have the Movie (Serenity) left to watch.  Darn you Rupert Murdoch!

There have been some other great shows that only ran for one season…..
One I still miss is “Key West.”

Firefly was a wonderful show.

If they had developed River more quickly,

perhaps the show would have lasted longer.

I liked Firefly too. River was a wild card that really could have added to the story line. All the characters were unique and interesting. Too bad about the show.

Sadly there was a lot of foreshadowing to the demise of the series.

If you get the series on DVD, the order of the episodes of the shows are correct.

When the show was originally broadcast, the first episode was flipped out of sequence because the studio felt that the story development was too slow.  They wanted the plot to immediately jump to the action.  For an ensemble cast of 9 characters each with their own back story, this was a very special flavor of bureaucratic stupidity.

It became all too apparent that the studio had no idea what they had on their hands or how to properly deal with it.  A movie 2 year after the demise of the show is just one indication of this.

Always loved the rhythm of the language/dialog/idiom of the series & movie.

I have a hard time watching firefly. Each time I do I just get pissed off at Fox even more. Seen each episode at least 5 times.
