Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

So, the latest german speedkite contest is done,
the weather was suboptimal, fog and light rain most of the time.
Wind varied greatly as well and of rather bad quality.
We had about 5 bft in the top end, and 1 bft in the low end.
At times during a single run...
Very unforgiving to all the highly tuned and sensible speedkites,
conditions less sensible kites had much less of a problem with.
As can be seen that not a single Long kite made the cut.

Here the top results of the individual classes

Thanks for the results.  Smiley

the kites and pilots represent what pushing

the limits can achieve. Under those conditions,

the results are staggering.

For us non-metric types:

100 mph = 160 kph (roughly)
