One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

just took some of my olde Nikon stuff down to the shop and traded it for a used D300.  Sat down to charge the batteries and found some rated at 1500mah, 2000mah, and 4200mah but can't find any 4200mah batteries for this camera , even over on ebay., no name brand on the battery.  is it a real discontinued item or just someone advertising to impress?  I like the idea of a larger capacity battery.....

I usually buy batteries from Thomas Distributing.

The highest listing they had for the el3e was 1500 mah at $33.

Good luck with you search.  Smiley

d300 standard battery will get you around the world and back without recharge - a second for just in case you plan on a detour to the moon. that is a very fine camera. of course, if you plan on spending hours looking at the screen on the back it will burn faster but the thing is for shooting and reviewing. save the weight and save the money. I stopped taking a charger on bicycle and motorcycle multi day tours a while back with my d90 and a thousand shots taken during a 6 day tour of india didnt dent the battery

enjoy wot you got Zeke - buy a bigger memory card instead
