Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Two days ago it was beautiful.  We have gotten snow today.  Nothing to speak about but white flakes coming down everywhere...  I've been singing the theme song to M*A*S*H all day.

Here is some flying from two days ago when I video'd the Talon.  Still looking forward to flying the Talon when the weather changes...  :'( :'(  However I was shocked to find out she could not handle the light wind.  Maybe why some Talon flyer's keep looking for Sul's.  Just a thought.  Apples or Oranges ..both fruits.  The Talon seemed like a Ocius but I just couldn't get the Pop sound on half axels.  I'll try again...
Mean time here is my Widow Maker ul at The Beach..

p.s.- End of video shows how much the Lake has recinded. Water is very low.  A couple years ago I could dip my kite.  No more.   :'( :'( :'(

If the water is low, doesn't that give you more room to fly ? Sounds like a good thing...   Cool

Not in this case Rob.  I usually fly on Grass. ( not to be confused with Michigan Home grown.)  The grass area has an under ground water sprinkling system.  So the grass area stays nice and soft all summer long.  Yes, the sand area has gotten larger by 20-25 feet.  I never liked the sand.  I am too slow in sand.

The real problem is the Lake.  Lake St. Clair connects the Detroit River with Lake Huron.  The water is low all around the State of Michigan all the Great Lakes as dangerously low.  Shipping routes are in danger.

Never seen anything like this in my life time.  Fishing spots we used as kids are dry beds now. It almost seems impossible to loose that much water....
