Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

A fellow Aussie kite maker has retired and is selling up to become a grey nomad.  After choosing which kites to keep, he and his wife asked some friends if they would take the rest of their collection off their hands.  Would I be interested in his spars, a few building bits and pieces and some very old, probably not worth anything sport kites?

The 15 kilogram box arrived yesterday - 9 kilos of spars, a few kilos of fittings, notions and such, and a bag of kites.  A few glorious hand made single liners, some primitive, unbranded dual liners, and finally a small purple bag at the bottom of the box...

Lucky guy ! I have a few GW kites, and I love them. Always wanted to try a Deca. Let me know if you want to trade it for a 3-liner ! (333)   Cheesy

I flew one of these a few weeks ago at a Kite Festival.

Holly poo this thing was tough to comprehend.  It is symmetrical so it is difficult to determine top, bottom, front, back.

Maybe it was the 120 ft lines that contributed to my difficulty.

It really made me appreciate the colors on my REV and understand to make sure my future REVs have distinct colors.

(In my defense, I only flew for 5 minutes and then some kids kicked it and broke the spars.  The owner was very annoyed!)

Good thing you only need a PHD in mechanical engineering to put one together.
