Okay, enough for that 3-step-Zigzag now: I've finished the four halves.
One big mistake so far: after finishing the Sixth Sense-sail, I turned to the Magnet. I forgot to adjust the sewingmachine... The Sixth Sense has got a 78mm overlap, the Magnet's is 6mm. The first stitch was a bit to wide for the seam... But don't worry, Kirby. I made two new panels and everything is perfect now.
No further errors so far!

Some pics for Kirby.

Maybe you can see that this stitch is a bit narrower:

A blend:

Next: Trailing Edge and Leading Edge: a lot of folding.

Nice work Krijn, I'm always happy to see build threads.  I like your glue device... Perhaps I'll look for one to try on my next kite.

Trailing Edges done. Also some reinforcements.

For Stuart: the back:

And the front (I'll make a pic of the next step):

Very neat sewing and coming out nicely.
Very instructive also.

Why do you chose the one step zig-zag for the reinforcements as opposed to the straight sewing?
It looks very nice but also more difficult to control...
Is it only aesthetics or is there another reason?

Do you think I can stitch straight?
No, I can't.

When I use a straight sew, it shows directly how sloppy I am, curves from left to right.
When I use a zigzag, all those little bends aren't noticable! The control is as easy as a straight sew.

And yes, I think it also looks better.

So, Leading Edges also done (no pictures).

Again for Stuart, the Magnet's tail.
Cut the tail, the bottom bit should be 2.5cm (not clear in instructions!). Maybe this should be done before adding the Dacron, but it is only a few cm's.

Fold a 2.5cm wide Dacron over the tail.

And stitch it:

Now a small hole and we are ready. The leechline is also viable on this picture.

The Magnet's centre-piece:

The nose:

And the sail is ready!

Tomorrow: nose Sixth Sense and both sails are ready.

After that: framing.

Sixth Sense nose. Top-right: you can see my machine doesn't like Dacron. It misses a stitch every 60cm...

And second sail done.

Still need the sewing machine for the bags...

That's all for today.
Framing on wednesday/thursday.

Wow, the sixth sense looks really nice...

Would it be too much trouble to change the color scheme now?
