One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Just a shot of the 50 count Prism Micron Stack that set the new world's record today at Ocean Shores WA. 'Festival of Colors'.  The stack was flown for over five minutes and performed more than the 3 required full loops to shatter the previous record of 26 or 28, said record not fully understood by this reporter at the present time.  Paul Debakker was the pilot and the event was documented on video by the owners of said Microns- MTP Studios, which is currently documenting indoor and outdoor kiting.

It was a brilliant day, a brilliant event and fun was had by all in attendance.

Ahh! Good, good, but it is too artistic and allows us to see little performance and flying...  Embarrassed

In any case, great record!
I like the image of the strong man helping out the pilot  Smiley

They might be Microns, but of course there are fifty of them!

That video was taken last month at Rockaway Beach.  It shows the stack in the air, but was there for a short time.  The pilot was Spence Watson with Matt Cyphert holding on to him.  I'm sure Matt is working on a video of the Ocean Shores record.

2003 Berkeley Kite Festival

205 stack of hyper-kites IIRC.
He didn't make the required 2 loops in opposite directions.
Although he did fly the stack for over 5 minutes.
The launch dragged his body forward about 30 yards.

Several pictures start here:

I have a video of the record, but don't have the time to process it and get it up online.
MTP productions will have it done proper before long, I'm sure.  Grin

What would be the world record for stacked Nirvanas? Two maybe.

Can you take world records for specific models?

I'm sure Mike must have several world records for some

of his oldsters.
