Odd, from 2004 to 2010, I never had any of the problems you refer to Todd.  Steve also supplied many kiters (not just sport kite flyers) with supplies only his father was producing for our small market.  With his shop closed the only other option for custom single line kite fittings is to make them yourself or pay a premium for some machine shop figure out what you want them to build.  He may have had high prices on some items, but he more than made up for it with the one stop shop aspect of all the other parts you may need for your build.  I haven't been around for the past few years to witness his delays in shipping, due to his own family matters, but he was a great resource to the kiting community.
