One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hello,

I am new to sport kiting and I own an HQ ATOMIC dual line sport kite.

Unfortunately to day I snapped the external ferrule of the leading edge and I am looking to replace it.

After looking online I found that there are internal and external ferrules.

The external are made of brass, aluminum and fiberglass or carbon tube parts.

The original ferrule was made of plastic and I dont know what to do.

Is it ok if I replace both ferrules with metal ones? What material should I choose. I beleive that aluminum would be best.

Thank you

from a picture in this article http://www.invento-hq.com/images/stories/downloads/reviews/kf410_seite24-26_atomic.pdf it looks like the same ferrules that prism is using on their quantum...
i would imagine that you can easily pop in aluminum ones.....
