Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

2 weird ones and one you'd expect. Had a L'Atalier  Excess Ul, all blue, grey and mylar, I kind of miss. Miss my XTR ul, and of course I kind of wish I'd held onto my Vapor. Huh But, at least the Vapor went to a good cause. Emalee Kirk, if you're out there, hope you're still enjoying it.

Here is a newbie question for those who have sold kites: Where do you sell your kites? Is there a web resource for selling used kite gear? Or do you sell them within a network of friends and kite flyers?

TJC: there is a swap meet section of the forum right down there on the front page of the forum (IIRC there was a number of posts that a new member had to create to be able to see it).   Plus there are two forum sponsors (So we can post the URLs to them):
http://www.kitebookie.com/
http://www.kite-classifieds.com/

Then there are also private sales going on...and through local clubs....etc.....and a sale section at The Other Place™ too

as well as that big auction website

I had a Cavaliers du Ciel DFM that I should have hung on to.

and a Pizazz (seem to have lost the pics for this one).

Neither one a modern style trick kite, but simply great flyers.

I sold a slate grey and blue Widow Maker standard here on the swap meet.  I think that's the only kite I regret selling.

I gave away my Prism Fanatic to a buddy in Colorado to fly with his kid.  It was the kite I flew through college.  Kinda miss that one, too.

The kites you give away leave a much better feeling

in the gut than the ones sold.  Smiley
