One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hi all!

New here, just pulled out my old kite bag and all the connectors on the Pandora (11' wingspan) have split. I called the company and verified the spars, spine and spreaders are all 7mm wrapped carbon.

Anyone know of a location to purchase replacements and/or a work around? Kite is one of my favorites and is grounded until repaired.

7mm=.275" which sort of falls between the available APA sizes but they are easily drilled out a bit if needed  -  APA-C's look like they way to go

For the stand-off connectors if it used the foldover style forget about them, although you can still find them they are so old that they often break when you first fold them, switch over to Jaco's or the R-Sky screw in type, use APA250 stand-off fittings on the spreader, again you may need to drill them out.

Thanks, I wasn't sure whether to go with the APA-C and drill or the APA-D and sleeve.   Grin

Plenty of room on the APA's to drill if needed, much cleaner & reliable then sleeving.
