One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

It's about noon here in Las Vegas.

According to weather.com and wunderground.com

106F = 41.1C (Predicted 113F this afternoon)

15% Humidity (49F Dew Point so A/C is on instead of the swamp coolers)

Winds in the 5-15 mph range (looking out window)

We're still getting some smoke smell from the fires in Arizona that took 19 firefighters lives.

UV High

Pollen High

Stay out of the sun until your shadow is longer than you are tall.  Huh
Fly just before the sun goes down and bring your camera. Smiley

Hyperlink fixed (my bad)

Only around 100 here today...

I wanted to go fly my patriotic red/white/blues, but wind is all over in direction/speed.
I'm thinkin' stay home, have a cool drink, and BBQ a few hot links before the fireworks tonight.  Grin

Happy 4th, my friends!   Wink

I thought I recognized it.  Did you guys get the bridle sorted out?  Remember we tinkered around with it a bit at NABX.

Link fixed. Sorry.

Mohawk SUL, complete with grommets at the upper outhauls, very odd.

On a related topic note, I just mowed the front lawn so it feels like 150 degrees right now.  What was I thinking?

Got to a balmy 75-ish today, foggy all morning, some sun in the afternoon. That's the good side of living near the ocean. Cheesy  But, like ko said, weekends and holidays are kind of hellishly crowded because all the inland folks come here to get away from the heat Sad  So, all my little flying nooks are taken.  I just went down to Ventura, back behind the fairgrounds by the river mouth a couple of weeks back. Nice beach, a bit windier than I'd prefer, but excellent for flying quads.
