One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

This kite was owned by the late Alan Bayley.  As far as we can determine he only flew it once.  I assembled it and test flew it today, to make sure nothing is missing or broken - it isn't.

Arrrgggg...  Angry  I love Robert's kites,  especially the cellulars, but can't see the video.

How can I see this on my tablet? In Chrome,  Firefox and YouTube I get a message like "the owner of this video has not made it available on mobile". Any suggestions, anyone?

bob you might be able to go to youtube in a browser....then at the bottom of the page it should say "desktop".....then you should be able to find Kevin's account (flicflac58 and he has some other good videos too in there)...
copy and paste this link into a browser page?

Thanks,  Rob,  but no go. Same result with any browser or the YouTube desktop site. Apparently there's no flash for Android?

I'll have to watch it when I get home I guess, unless you want to send me the kite, Kevin.   Grin

Bob: It is the earlier version of the Listener series than what you have already....he shape is more like the Rhiems you have...long thin cells next to each other.....(i know that this is just going to drive you more nuts to want to see it!)

Kevin: this is not the same Listeners that you have listed in the other thread is it?   you have that one titled as Personal without a picture...but this one is definitely an exhibition size!

Hmmm...  Sorry Bob, I can't change the settings to allow mobile viewing.  YouTube detected the music in the video as being copyright owned by someone else (a Vangelis track) , so they restrict how, when and where it can be viewed.  I'm currently uploading it to Vimeo

Listener on Vimeo

This isn't the "Listener" Personal series that was part of the deceased estate sale recently, it is a full sized exhibition piece.  Because of its size, I can't ship it anywhere.  However, if anyone is attending the Boreno International Kite Festival in Bintulu this September and wants to buy it, I'll deliver it in my kite bag  Smiley

I haven't figured out how to make my uToob videos available to mobile devices, either. They work fine on a PC, but not on tablets or phones.  Embarrassed

Really nice kite, BTW. Mr. Brasington sure makes some beautiful kites !

Thanks,  Steve and Kevin. Both the jpg and vimeo worked.

That's a very cool earlier one. Elegant.
